PUDGEWORLD
A downloadable game for Windows
PUDGEWORLD
----
A great world once thrived. One day, it simply became smothered. People threw their hands up in defeat, saying: 'oh well, i guess the world's doomed!'. Then they became entirely too busy deflecting and throwing the blame at each other rather than fixing the problem, so they all mostly died off.
It's been years since this tragedy. The invisible wounds of trauma have become numb, but there still remains a few fading vestigial members of society. Grasping at the straws for something, anything to feel whole. This is how the world ended.
----
Join this nameless wastelander as they take a brief pilgrimage to the promised land.

Are there any plans to update this game or was it just a quick project?
I do have some genuine criticisms. There are only two places to go to and one item to collect. There isn't much lore in game, no additional characters, and not much is known about our protagonist. The final cutscenes doesn't tell us about much what happened to the world after your choice or the way of it's people.
the camera and the controls need work but overall, this is a pretty interesting idea that could be really good if it gets developed, This is just my opinion but I think it would do pretty well as a sort of RPG with platforming, driving, and maybe some shooting, I fell like it could be a pretty unique weight game among the sea of text games and visual novels. (I would also want to see more of this world and it's story, maybe there could be some kind of device or exoskeleton that give the main character the mobility they have, I'm very interested in this game :3 )
camera control would have been nice
While there is not much to see so far, I quite like the idea. This can easily be a great open-world with its fetishy angle. Maybe certain choices affect your character later on, like weight gain in the open world?
Well, control is a little bit funky, but good game/demo. Even I will see more, you’re doing a great work.
Controls are a bit funky but its great apart from that.
Just looked at the walkthrough, how do you get into the car?
first thing
Setting options to adjust audio and video
maybe have the cars drive on water if you can do that.
would love to see more things be added like a way to cycle the cars and the magnetic tire upgrade need to be for all and not just the one you drive up the oil rig to get said upgrade
I somehow saw the beginning of zerahypt. Please don't abandon this project, I don't want to see the same zerahypt
adored the sheer size and fatness of it all but PLEASE add camera control its so bad currently i want this game to be good so much
so this was an experience from before any updates.
I admit I spent a fair amount of time trying to visit the far out, but regrettably undetailed buildings that were on the edge of the expanse before visiting the the intended destinations. despite I still enjoyed the adventure provided. After making it up the oil rig i did figure out the car was needed. I had a feeling I did need it when i saw the ramps. but by that time i had firmly gotten the car lodged in a fat roll near the summit and auto drive was not able to help. so i had to restart. made my way up there. did what was asked of me the intended way. then proceeded the rest of the way through. i did struggle with the water but usually plunging a heavy car with an even heavier passenger doesn't end well so chugged along till i made it out and then up the mountain.
overall I did enjoy it. the longing for more is there, but i was satisfied
UPDATE 2: Due to player feedback, issued a small update adjusting the water physics for cars to be easier to control.
Oh HELL, I'm looking forward to giving this a whirl! But I have to ask, does it hurt the poor blob to mine into them? And what do you extract? They're not made of dirt, you can't grow stuff, but.... Still, I am very happy to see this concept done at last.
There aint exactly much ground to get it oil from, so the bandits, industrious as they were, got a new fuel source, biodiesel made of fat.
There's something extremely ghetto and reminiscent of the Strogg about slapping a big ol' oil derrik ontop of an organism and siphoning it's blood and fatty tissues.
Interesting, and it makes sense...but now I wonder, how does everyone get food and water? Must be a lot of food if the protag is so huge.... (No, haven't played it yet, I've been busy ;w; )
i love this game overall but i can see how people thought you weren't supposed to use the car to get up the oil platform, given how badly the car handles in the water and how you have to get in the water to get to it, vs the player character swimming so well. but then at the end youre supposed to get out of the car not drive up the boss, which feels a little unintuitive. still, i had a lot of fun both doing what i was supposed to do and also fucking off into the distance to visit the low poly decor <3
pretty cool! i love the car's design!
Tried this out and OH MAN this was such a nice treat. Love how you immediately get thrust into the gameplay and are able to take in just how atmospheric everything is. I've really never seen an experience like this where you really FEEL like you're on some impossibly fat creature.
Was a little jank, but ultimately pretty fun and just challenging enough scaling the oil rig with the vehicle. Reminded me of playing an old racing game on my N64. As other have pointed out, the vehicle flipping out a bit in the water and the fixed camera was somewhat annoying, but minor problems and shouldn't be too hard of a fix.
The anticipation of scaling the the neck(?) rolls with the tire tracts were great. And the payoff of that large ship and the carrier of it was great. Was such a jump scare the first time driving into the water. And I loved the out of the box thinking with the solution.
And finally loved the big matrix reference at the end. The blue option was kind of dark, but very scenic. And the red one...well, I don't wanna spoil much, but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of it ;3.
Overall I had a good time with this short romp and would VERY much like to not just see more, but be willing to pay for a more extended, full fledged game.
(Also, what's the name of the large canine creature?! I absolutely ADORE them in all their jiggling, metallic glory! <3)
Oh yeah! If someone else hasn't already mentioned it, I would highly recommend sharing this over at the Weight Gaming forum. There's plenty of fat furries that would get a real kick out of this:

Can someone who's finished this give me a step by step on everything you need to do after getting on top of the mountain? You can't drive into it and you can't climb it, and those are the only two things you can do in this game.
The walkthrough.... the video on this page. It's the game from start to finish. I knew some people wouldn't want to play the game or need hints so i included it as a guide.
Ah, the video was age restricted so it doesn't show what it is when embedded.
Im glad you put the sign to collect it with the car, since the character is so good at climbing by themselves that i ditch the car while it was doing flips in the water to get the orb, then i tried again and got it, went to top and kept dying to the good boy and wasnt getting what to do until one of the times it seems to miss and changed to a land phase and was able to reach the end. I kinda expected a longer sequence with the red vial but was still good.
The reward for the time cycles is cool as some of them make the place look better for atmosphere but not to drive in them.
Oh heck yeah, you got to that concept you mentioned to us a long while back! <3 This is great to see, we'll have to cover this.
Aaagh, man, this game awesome, I just wanna do more things!! I will say the last bit was confusing, but I wont elaborate on what about the last part, I'll just say I thought I needed to use the car for everything, lol. Game has a fun few bits and bobs, just hope this is made into an even bigger game! I'd pay top dollar to explore an entire world made of pure lard and fat just like this one shows promise to ;L cute lil mad-max inspired game (at least it feels like from the looks and sounds, lol), I cant wait for more from this creator~
honestly with a camera control update and some sound effects to actually feel like a landwhale walking over a continent of fat and this game will be goty, also i found 🗿
I managed to work out what to do eventually by channelling my inner carmageddon 2 knowledge of driving cars to the top of things, fun short (but large) prototype that I could see being expanded on with potential movement tech/upgrades as you work your way over the land. And yes I chugged the red vial.
I would say I wish there was a confirm to exit because I wanted to take more screenshots but hit 2 instead of 1 by mistake T_T.
It's an interesting idea, and pretty atmospheric, but I'm not sure what to do other than run/drive around. I went into the 'oil rig' and found a green orb I couldn't interact with, I tried climbing the 'mountain' and hit a dark bubble I could get past, and I drove/swam/ran all the way to this Space Needle-looking tower and tried climbing it until the disc at the top stopped me. Never saw the ship in that one screenshot.
It's also a little frustrating not being able to move the camera with the mouse, and it makes climbing stuff weird sometimes.
You have to use the car to collect the orb, the dark ring is a force field, to keep you from climbing the mountain without the car and the orb powerup. :V
Issued a small update where now when players try to collect the orb without the car, a message pops up telling the player to collect it with a car. Didnt expect quite a few players to ditch the car to climb the oil rig.
Driving a car into the water is pretty unintuitive, in most games you lose the car or get a game over. Plus, if the car drops into the water at any angle less than a gentle slope, the car bobs around like crazy and it's almost impossible to regain control.
Also, I went up to the top of the mountain, got knocked off cuz I didn't know what to do, and now the car is trapped at the bottom of the ocean. Please just add a 'respawn' command to put you back at the start location or something, at least until the controls and the physics are more manageable.
